Public Safety Announcement – Burning Restrictions

From the Office of the Fairview Fire Chief

Due to heightened fire danger, the following burning restrictions are now in effect within Fairview and the surrounding area:

  • No open fires of any kind
    • This includes charcoal grills and barbecues, coal and wood burning stoves and tent stoves.
  • No campfires
  • No smoking (except in an area that is free of vegetation)
  • No Fireworks
    • This includes tracer ammunition, pyrotechnic devices or exploding targets
  • Chainsaws, motorcycle, ATV’s or other small internal combustion engines must have an approved spark arrestor
  • No cutting, grinding and welding near dry vegetation

The only burning allowed at this time is the use of propane grills or propane griddles.

These measures are necessary to protect our community and reduce the risk of wildfires. We appreciate the cooperation of all residents and visitors in helping keep Fairview safe.

These restrictions go in effect immediately! (8/21/2025)

These restrictions will remain in effect in Fairview City until November 1st (11/1/2025) or until the Fire Chief lifts the restrictions

Thank you for your understanding and support.
